SAIC Motor, Designers for UK and China

SAIC Design (Shanghai Automotive Industrial Corporation) is a global team with design studios in Shanghai and the United Kingdom where creativity, competitive and experienced dynamic thinking are crucial to the growth of the Roewe (China) and MG (Global) brands.

SAIC is an OEM that is undergoing a massive global transformation with an aggressive and rapidly expanding product portfolio over the next several years currently with over 130 working design personnel in our two design studios.

International Position Design Manager Level / Chief Interior Designer (Shanghai):

To manage, lead and develop advanced and production interior and exterior projects for both our brands. Plan and organize the workloads, manpower, timing and personnel. Mentor and lead by example a growing creative team. Propose original design thinking and experienced processes, developing designs that incorporate new style and proportion as well as refine production products to the highest standards. Candidates must show examples of production and concept work. This team is growing and in immediate need of experienced design leadership. Bachelors or Master Degree in Industrial or Automotive Design (or equivalent) is required.

Interior Design Leader (UK):  

To Lead and develop the next generation of interior design with visionary creative skills and experience in a major OEM. This candidate will be required to generate strategy, proposals and implement them with our modelling teams into visionary products. They will be expected to interface with engineering, suppliers and cross functional teams. Travel and work in China on a limited basis. Both Bachelors or Master Degree in Industrial or Automotive Design (or equivalent) is required.

Interior / Exterior Designers (UK):

We are looking for exterior and interior designers for our UK studio with an emphasis on creativity, presentation and style. Designers will be expected to produce dynamic proposals and help translate them with our modelling team into both digital and 3D media. Professional visualization, traditional sketching and Photoshop skills are a requirement. Designers must be graduates of a recognized transportation design course with a minimum Bachelors or Master Degree in Industrial or Automotive Design.

Digital (Alias / ICEM) modellers (Shanghai / UK). 

We require several ICEM / Alias modellers for both our Shanghai and UK studios with high experience levels in production as well as a flair for concept development.
